I rang the BT tech support line once, let's just say, she hung up on me. At
first, when we moved homes, they promised that we will have network within a
week. A week later, nothing. They then said next week. Next week came, still
nothing. So on the 22nd, the whole family rang, kindly (or so I thought) asking
for an explanation why this is. The not so kind woman, which a real, strong
accent, asked my post code. I didn't understand her, so, I asked back. After
the second, she shouted in my ear, as if I was an idiot. So, at that point,
sarcasm appeared, and I told her "Whoa! Calm down." then said the post code.
She said the same as one of the other people, with a real, strong accent, and
while I was explaining to family, the line cut off, think she hung up on me.
Guess telling her to calm down didn't work that well, after all. Despite their
tech support, since we've moved homes, we didn't need to ring, and the new hub
is more reliable than the old one was, but I'll never be forg
iving the 1 month waiting time, and the kindness on the lines. I have never
used plus net, though. So far, I've only used BT, so can't compare, but, there
you have it, my first and last tech support call with them. If the contract was
under my name, they'd be canceled for years. They ask for 76 MB, in terms of
speed, yet, we have access to 55 MB. True, its unlimited and everything but....
But again, don't know about plus net.

Subject: [access-uk] PlusNet vs BT Internet

I'm with PlusNet and I'd have to say I'm very happy with their services
especially their UK based customer support centres. However, to get BT Sport
channel at a reasonable price it would seem that I have to switch ISP to BT.
So, what do people think of BT internet generally please? Is their after sale
support still utterly useless or have they improved. Many thanks.
