Just to check is this 16gb limit you have found for the USB flash drive or
also the SD cards you are using?
In relation to SD cards I have regularly use 64 GB cards with my Plextalk for
both myself and my now deceased sister.
The way I do this is slightly counter-intuitive as I simply format the cards
in a Victor Reader Trek though I am sure a VR Stream would also do. The cards
then work without issue in the Plextalk.
I think there is a similar option in the Plextalk to format a card as well but
I have not tried higher capacity cards with this.
I might try to see if the 128 GB card I use in my Trek also works though this
may push it a bit.
In relation to the original query regarding the USB stick I would check it is
formatted FAT 32 first.
