[access-uk] Re: Plextalk Pocket or Book Sense

As I said in one of my posts on this thread, it is subjective. I prefer
music on my iPod to be honest, but that isn't what the enquirer was looking
for. The four specialist players all have pluses and minuses. The Victor
Reader Stream and Plextalk Pocket both have nice, definable buttons. The
BookSense is great for its various formats. The Milestone is the smallest,
lightest, and has the best speaker and voices. Of the four, I also think it
has the best sound for music. The Plextalk Pocket can be connected to WiFi,
and is the best recorder. The Victor Reader Stream is solid and the larger
of them all, and has the nicest case.

As I say, they all have their place, it just depends on what aspects you
want the most and should work from there.

Kind Regards,

Jackie Cairns

Hi Pele,

I would say neither the Stream nor the Booksense are good for music, both
have completely lifeless sound to me.

If you want good quality music, then the Pocket or the Milestone do it for
me.

All the best

Steve

Hi

I have to say that I disagree with Jackie. I tried the Booksense last year
and found it not very good for music or .txt files.

I like the Plextalk Pocket as one can connect to wi-fi and listen to
internet radio and download podcasts.

However, for a good, overall player, I would recommend the Victor Reader
Stream, which does everything you asked for quite well.
