Don't really think the PTN upgrade is necessary either. One more question if you can offer any advice.I have been using the Victor Classic player for sometime, and had the latest Firm upgrade Installed. This upgrade gave me a few more options, including playing .OGG files, and playing book in folders.

Billy, not a PTN1 user list that I know of. Next best thing is probably the RNIB Arena list, but that is mostly discussion of books, rather than tech issues, but Iain is accomodating of technical issues as they do have a bearing on reading of books. The PTR1 users list too is likely to get some mention of the PTN1 at times, but bear in mind that many there are concerned with the creation and editing of DAISY format material on the Plexter PTR2 and the original PTR1 machine.
