Subject: [access-uk] Please consider reviewing the IOS Hive app
A new update for the Hive app just came out today on the Apple App Store.
Sadly, despite reassurances the remaining Voice Over bugs have not been fixed.
The worst of these prevents you from changing the set temperature in your
heating schedule. So as the days and evenings get warmer you can't change your
schedule to suit. Your only recourse is to keep turning the heating down for
each daily period as it occurs or turn it off altogether. The other bug stops
you manipulating daily schedules in the Recipes section or as it has now been
renamed, the Actions section.
I have given the Hive app 5 stars in the past but I now feel time has run out
and have just awarded one star and explained why on the Apple App Store. I
honestly think this is the only way to demonstrate that getting back full
access to the app is as important to us as to any sighted user. After all, to
buy into the system has cost a minimum of £250 and often a lot more for the
various accessories. I hope others feel as strongly and will let British Gas
know this so that they take accessibility as seriously as they do other bugs in
their app.
Regards
John
