I have Outlook Express icon on the desktop. Is that what you mean? No I want it on the bottom of the screen on the Task Bar where I have other applications such as internet Explorer, Windows Media Player and Real Player.
Thanks for your help. Eleanor----- Original Message ----- From: "Ted Martin" <tedmart@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Eleanor, I think what you really need is a shortcut to OE from its desktop icon. You can create one from the properties sheet. Then whatever else you have running, you can launch OE with a key press. No need to have it on the task bar.HTH, Ted----- Original Message ----- From: "Eleanor Burke" <eleanorburke@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, January 25, 2009 9:00 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Placing Outlook Express Icon on the Task BarI am not wanting to open Outlook Express, minamise it and put it on the task bar. I just want it on the task bar so that if i DECIDE TO OPEN IT, i CAN GET AT IT EASILY RATHER THAN CLOSING DOWN OR MINAMISING THE APPLICATINS i AM WORKING WITH TO GET AT IT ON THE DESKTOP OR HAVING TO GO THROUGH THE START MENU FOR IT.pLEASE DO UNDERSTAND THAT i APPRECIATE EVERYONE'S COMMENTS AND UNDERSTAND THAT MANY PEOPLE ARE WORKING ENTIRELY FROM THE KEYBOARD AND NOT USING THE MOUSE.eLEANOR----- Original Message ----- From: Negoslav SabevTo: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Sunday, January 25, 2009 5:23 AM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Placing Outlook Express Icon on the Task BarMinimizing OE will place its icon on the taskbar. If you use the mouse, just click on the minimize simbol on the right top corner of the window, or in the OE window press alt+space and enter on minimize. It will work for almost all programs.Negoslav----- Original Message ----- From: Eleanor BurkeTo: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Saturday, January 24, 2009 10:08 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Placing Outlook Express Icon on the Task BarThat is not what I am looking for Ibrahim. I might have 3 word documents open and then I might want to open Outlook Express. I would find it very handy to use the mouose and go to the task bar and click on the Outlook Express Icon without having to go throught the Start menu or minamizing all my Word documents to click on the Outlook Express icon on the desktop.Eleanor----- Original Message ----- From: Ibrahim GucukogluTo: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Saturday, January 24, 2009 7:33 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Placing Outlook Express Icon on the Task Bar Hi Eleanor.Simply minimise the outlook express window by pressing windows key and M.----- Original Message ----- From: Eleanor BurkeTo: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Saturday, January 24, 2009 7:08 PMSubject: [access-uk] Re: Placing Outlook Express Icon on the Task BarOK but you still haven't told me how to put it on the task bar, the Icon I mean.eleanor----- Original Message ----- From: Ibrahim GucukogluTo: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Saturday, January 24, 2009 6:44 PMSubject: [access-uk] Re: Placing Outlook Express Icon on the Task BarHi Eleanor. No, sorry, I'm misreading your message. When you said the task bar, I thought you might be referring to the system tray that sits next to it. You can with the aid of this program Hide OE put outlook express in the system tray. When you minimise it, rather than becoming another task in the taskbar clogging up your task switching, it tucks itself away so you can keep it open and thus monitor your mail much more effectively.----- Original Message ----- From: Eleanor BurkeTo: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Saturday, January 24, 2009 6:36 PMSubject: [access-uk] Re: Placing Outlook Express Icon on the Task BarOh no of course not, it is quite a simple thing and I've had someone do it for me within minutes. I only want to be able to click on it form the task bar to open it.Eleanor----- Original Message ----- From: Ibrahim GucukogluTo: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Saturday, January 24, 2009 6:19 PMSubject: [access-uk] Re: Placing Outlook Express Icon on the Task BarHi Eleanor. You can't, you need to use a separate program called Hide OE. Do a search in google for it, but download it from the R2 studios website as there are a few utilities around and not all of them are free or accessible.----- Original Message ----- From: Eleanor BurkeTo: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Saturday, January 24, 2009 5:55 PMSubject: [access-uk] Placing Outlook Express Icon on the Task BarHow would I do this please?
