Even easier than that just say to Siri that a certain person is your sister, brother, father etc.

Hi,

I dont' have a 4s, but i think when you go into contacts and edit a contact there's an option in there to set your relationship witht he person. EG. Wife/Husband. Just like adding a birthday etc.

Regards,
Barry.

Hi. How do I get Siri to recognise family members. At the moment
Siri is asking me to change my personal info within settings when I
say something like text my wife. I can't seem to find this option
anywhere.
