Hi David
I use a lead which is connected to my IPhone 5S via the jack socket and the
other end of the lead is a hook which thich between my hearing aid and the side
of my head and then I switch my hearing aid to the T position thus cutting out
background noise. I purchased this from Connevans, Hope this may be of some use
to you.
best wishes
Henry

Hi David,
Commercial Interest Declared!
If it’s a small speaker you want, but very loud, you could do a lot worse than
the BlueTiger SoundPod. It is wired and Bluetooth. So you can plug your phone
into it, or you can connect it via Bluetooth. It is round and metal, but very
loud and crisply clear.

I have some current difficulties with catching buses due to my not being able
to see and often hear them.
I therefore need to use a speaker for me to hear output from my iPhone in a
noisy street environment. Basically I need to hear Bus arrival information on a
noisy London Street. I understand After Shock are not an option as they are not
suitable for a deaf user because of their quietness. Using normal headphones is
great for hearing the app but then occludes other noise, crucially reducing the
chance of me hearing the sound of a bus arriving.
So I think a speaker may be part of the solution. I tried plugging the Trekkar
Breeze Speaker into the iPhone but unfortunately this does not work.
So a speaker with at least the volume of a Trekkar Breeze speaker on full
volume is what I am seeking.
Any advice welcomed.
