Hitried the laundry labels and found that if you have large labels on clothing, we tucked the label in between the two layers of the label and just poked the penfriend inside to read. this works well. with the labels which are too small for this idea we folded the label over the end of the clothing label. this meant it also didn't cover the print instructions and they've stayed on. They haven't as yet been in the dryer.

Hi Carol - the peel-and-stick version of the laundry labels was not an instant success but that seems to me to be largely due to the adhesive rather than the labels themselves and, if I didn't dream it, RNIB haven't given up. As well as the sew-on route, I thought someone mentioned an iron-on option under investigation. I'm not saying it will work, or for that matter, not work, but it looks to me as if the folks at RNIB who are involved in the PenFriend project are keen to put time, effort and ingenuity into what is already an excellent concept.I await developments with keen anticipation! I think these will be very useful.I am disappointed that it looks as though we have to think of sewing on a label for laundry since that will be hard for a number of us and will probably therefore not get the take-up of other solutions. I keep trying to wrack my brains for another solution but, as yet, haven't found one.-- Carol carol.pearson29@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx On Twitter: http://twitter.com/songbird49a ---- Original Message ---- From: "Long, Alison" <Alison.Long@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, September 30, 2009 7:22 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Penfriend SupplementaryHi, Pack B is due into stock on 7 October. Can you order A & B again or is say C & D coming out? Heard John of RNIB's podcast on Youtube. A great product by the sound of it and I'm sure RNIB with the manufacturer will get the laundry issue sorted too! Looking forward to placing an order when I receive an answer to the above.
