Ali - I would expect it to work ok if you don't highlight the first 2 pages, but selected all the text from page 3 to the end, and then go to the insert menu and choose page numbering etc.

If for some reason this isn't working, perhaps you could print off the first 2 pages separately, and then number the rest, but would have thought the first method would work!

Andy,
But, When I use the method you outlined below, I still get first page
numbered as page 3. What I want is that no page numbers for the first two
pages, and the numbering starts from page three as page one. I hope I am
making sense.

I know it is somewhere in the insert page number section, but I cannot
figure it out. I think getting old now.

Thank you.

Hi Ali -

I use Word 2000, and to do this, I use page numbering from the Insert
menu--there is a format button, and under there you will find an edit box to
type in the number of the page that you want to start from. So, highlight
all of the text in the document from page 3, select page numbering from the
insert menu, and click on the format button, and tab to the edit box and
type in 1, and hit 2 ok buttons, and you're done, your third page should be
numbered as page 1 etc.

Is this what you meant?

Hi,

I have a very lengthy report that I would like to insert page numbers.
However, I want page numbers starting from page three,, in other words, I
want page three showing and saying page one, page four as page two etc. I
have seen it done in some documents. Does anyone know how I can do the
same
numbering please?

I am using office XP and 2003 with jaws 6.0 and 7.0.

Thank you.
