I don't use toner as I have a HP inkjet. But the best prices I can find for compatible ink cartridges are at 7dayshop.com and cartridgepeople. Their stocks are far cheaper than other competitors. Both do toners so I would assume they also would be competively priced. Worth a look.

Carol, Just replaced a toner cartridge on one Brother for £31 and another
for something similar was refilled. Would a friendly bod at ~Cartridgeworld
help?

It's interesting you should recommend a Brother becauase I love my Brother
and will be sad to see it go, but I'm not paying the rediculous cost of a
cartridge (which may not be the fault) when the printer itself is pretty old
now.

Thanks for your offer to call. I'll come back to you if I need further
information, once I've taken a look at what's out there and read more of
what people have to say.

Cheers.

Hi Carol.

Personally, i have had experience with HP, brother, epson and kodak.
Some HP and Some of the epson inkjets Epson 5000 series are ink
guzzlers. I have 1 brother lazer printer. its a few years old now, its
the HL1450N. It has wired networking and has been an excellent work
horse. Finally, kodak inkjet printers aren't bad. the ink is cheap,
though for your situation i would look in to getting hold of a brother
lazer printer. EBuyer have quite a large range, what is your budget?
perhaps then i can recommend some? You can order any time up to 11 PM
from ebuyer and have it delivered the next day. send me your number
off list and i can call you at your convenience to discuss pros and
cons in more detail if you wish, that would make things quicker. the
offer's there.
mobeeniqbal@xxxxxxxxx

is where you'll find me.

all the best,

Mo.

Hi all,

My old Brother appears to have died and I need to get another printer
quite quickly, so any recommendations would be very much appreciated.
I want to be able to copy and scan using the printer and, in
addition, I am looking at either USB or wireless. (The wireless must
be Apple compatible.)

I loved my last printer for its ease of use and not having to bother
with print filled cartridges, so ideally I'd probably want something
that takes toner but not too expensive to run.
I look forward to any suggestions. Please give as much detail as you
can about your printer. (It may be useful to know how long you've
had it, in case it's now
superceded.)
Thanks!
