Very interesting, can you use this to take sound from a 3.5 mm jack socket
to the headset?

I just love my Logitech h600 Wireless Headset, which incidentally comes with
a 2 year manufacturer's guarantee.

There are actually three models, the most advanced, and expensive, claims to
connect to tablets and smartphones. Mine even works with my Mac mini.

All have an operating range of at least 10 metres which is great for me when
I need to move about the office during a conversation.

There are two possible downsides - at least for me.

First is to remember always to take the USB transmitter if I want to use
them outside, but this does at least fit into a holder on the headset.

Second is that the re-chargeable battery life is only 6 hours. However they
do some with a USB cable and USB charger, and can be on charge while in use.
Hence I usually try to ensure I leave it charging overnight.

Using the device on another PC has not to date been a problem. I simply
plug in the USB transmitter, and Windows does the rest in a few seconds.

I've made many bad buys, but this is one of my better decisions, so much so
that I gave my wife one of the top end ones which she uses with her iPad and
iPhone as well as her PC.

George.

This has been a problem for as long as I can remember. Isn't it about time
that the boffins in techno-heaven came up with a solution? Last Christmas
my family bought me a set of headphones which has the cable detachable from
the headset. I will check what make they are, but it came with two separate
cables so if one broke I could replace it with the other. I don't understand
why all more expensive type headphones don't come like this?

This year I've gone through at least four pares of portable headphones, by
which I mean, though not exclusively in-ear ones. These have included Bose,
Jays (As sold by Tapesense), Sony and RHA. In every case they have gone
one-legged due always to a break between the cable and the 3.5 jack. I have
three questions. Is this a fault which we simply have to accept? Is there
anything we can do to prevent it from occurring? And are there any out
there which won't break in this way?** To leave the list, click on the
