Hi Steve,

And I imagine the faster and more fluent a braille reader you are, the more
likely you will upset the frail Braille.

Best,
Clive

Hi Clive,

I don't know, but if I were you, I'd get a replacement from RNIB.  If they
get too many replacements, it may not become viable for them to sell that
one either, the Braille Me was driving me up the wall for the same reason,
so many coming back.

The cells on those devices are just not well enough made to stand up to any
kind of rigour.

All the best

Steve

Hi all,

Who makes the Orbit Reader? I wonder what they have to say about solutions
to the problem of dots sticking. I hope they have suggested solutions, and
aren't at the 'we're working on it' stage, or worse still, that they don't
merely confirm that there is a problem.

Best,
Clive

hi Clive

Most of the people I know who have Orbit Readers have had problems with dots
sticking and have landed up having to ask RNIB for a replacement machine.
