I've assured by an appropriate person in RNIB that while the problem of
sticking dots in the Orbit Reader was a reality, the most recent do not have
this problem.
If you have had a swap recently, could you please drop me a line off list to
george@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, saying when it was purchased originally, and
when you had your last replacement which also failed.
I shall pass reports on in the hope of discovering if it is an error or
there is still an issue.
George

Hi all,
Who makes the Orbit Reader? I wonder what they have to say about solutions
to the problem of dots sticking. I hope they have suggested solutions, and
aren't at the 'we're working on it' stage, or worse still, that they don't
merely confirm that there is a problem.
Best,
Clive

hi Clive
Most of the people I know who have Orbit Readers have had problems with dots
sticking and have landed up having to ask RNIB for a replacement machine.
