[access-uk] Optical out on my computer

Hi all.
I'm needing to convert my line-out connection of my computer so that it's
optical, in order to plug it into an optical input socket on my av unit.
Would I be better off purchasing an external sound card, which has an
optical output, or is there a similar device on the market that I can use?
