Andy, have you tried adjusting the volume via the alt-control arrow keys?

Press alt-control plus left arrow until you hear volume, then use the up-down
arrow keys to adust the volume. If this works, then you will have to do a save
in the Window-Eyes control panel, under set file to retain the setting. This
seems the most likely cause of the problem to me.

From Ray
I can be contacted off-list at:

Hi Anthony.

Sunul advised that I did not need to do this, but rather re-insert my disk
and go for Advanced Settings then languages, then select Eloquence.
Although I followed his instructions, and selected Eloquence Reed, when I
re-booted, the volume was way down. So much so that neither I or my wife
could hear it. So do you think that I should uninstall then reinstall
Windoweyes, and on installation, select the Eloquence package?

Best wishes.

Andy
