Mandy,
I paid about £80 for Omnipage 15 Pro when it was on special offer last year,
Kertzweil appears to sell in the USA for $1000 so I assume in the U.K. wil be
over £600. O.K if you have an employer to pay the bills.

  No, it's a software called Kurzweil 1000.

I suggest you use Kurzweill as it's got a lot more features than omni
page, plus it's a speaking software meaning that no screen reader needs
to be running to fully use Kurzweill. Another advantage is that it comes

with a lot of reference tools, including dictionary/thesaurus, on-line
encyclopaedias, and other tools. I hope this helps making your decision.

Thanks for the replies about this: our Omnipage is not a full version

it isn't professional as it just came within our Cannon printer so the

suggested solutions don't appear to work for us. Guess we'll just
have to manage as it is.

Do people have an opinion about which software is best for scanning?
Cicero, Kersworld sorry don't know how to spell and don't know which
other ones there are available.

Hi Mandy,
There's a tutorial on John Wilson's website. He's made them available

free to anyone who wants to use them and there's a tutorial on there
for Omnipage
but not sure which version. The link is:
http://web.onetel.com/~fromthekeyboard
. Hope it helps.

Cheers,
Sandra.
