Hi Steve

Asking for someone else here, but is that model fully speech compatible? In
other words, how does it compare to the DM5?

Kind regards,

Hi,

Yes, we sell it for £179.99.

I think it is tactile enough to be honest, but depends on how sensitive or
otherwise your fingers are.

Nice little recorder though.

All the best

Steve

Hi Steve!

I have the same requirements as Michael for an easy to use, prompt response
recorder. Do you sell one you recommend? Can you please advise if it is
tactile enough for not very sensitive fingers? How much does it cost?

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards,

Padma

Hi Mike,

I highly recommend the DM-670. It does all you want.

Subject: [access-uk] Olympus Voice Recorders

Hello.

At the risk of making everybody groan because I have no doubt this will
have come up before, I am in the market for purchasing one of the
Olympus digital voice recorders for taking notes on the move and
recording meetings etc.

There seems to be a dazzling number of options as far as models goes.
So I'm after recommendations and experiences.

What I need is the following:

1. Fast deployment. In other words it needs to be as fast as possible
between deciding I should be recording something to setting the
recording in motion. A lot of devices seem to have an annoyingly
complex sequence to starting a recording. Both my Victor Reader Stream
and my Plextalk Pocket fall into this category, especially the
Plextalk. It is annoyingly slow to start a recording.

2. Nice to have but not vital would be the 'buffer' option that some
recorders have where they constantly record a few seconds of sound which
is placed at the start of a recording to help to prevent loss of data at
the start, buffering the time it takes to react and press the button.

3. Record in MP3 preferable. It would be nice if it recorded in MP3 as
well as maybe WMA and WAV.

4. Long battery life. More than an average eight hour work day of
battery life.

So...does anybody have any recommendations?

Mike
