Hi John,

The firmware has been updated since then, but it's not a lot better.

All the best

Steve

Hi, if you haven't yet heard the Neal Ewers review of the Olympus LS100 you
may find it helpful. From what Neal says in the podcast a lot more of the
functions than multitracking are not spoken, unless, of course there's been
a firmware update since the podcast.

In many cases only the top item in a menu list was spoken, which is as
good as nothing. The link to the podcast is

Hi Steve,

Yes. The only bit that isn't accessible currently, is multitracking. As a
regular recorder, it is fine.

All the best

Hi All,

Has anyone tried using this portable audio recorder from Olympus? It offers
8 track multi track recording whilst having voice guidance to talk you
through the menus's. My wonder is whether this voice guidance is actually
enough to allow you to operate it independently from using the display.

Anyone tried one yet?

Steve
