Hi Ray.

I've heard a load of very good reports on Studio Recorder. Apparently,
according to Michael Lang and Larry Skutchan, it is perhaps the most
accessible Digital editor available. I would not mind trying it out, though
I'm a bit of a GoldWave perve myself.

I agree, to some extent, on your comment that the BCT podcasts are a bit
overly drawn out. Why are you sounding so surprised? Go into any academic
library and read an American textbook and you'll soon discover that they
tend to talk to death a subject, where the same subject on a British book is
covered in a few paragraphs.

Nevertheless, I love them all at Blind Cool Tech. We really need more lists
just like this to examine and discuss just about every issue affecting blind
and visually impaired people and the technology they may choose to overcome
difficulties. It's really a fantastic list to be a part of and you are kept
up to date with new technology, from hundreds of list members.

As to why podcasts are normally processed as MP3's, can this not be a way of
simplifying things and reducing the bandwidth of uploads? Not really sure
about this. Perhaps, mp3 is an accepted format that suits most people. I
don't know. Does it matter too much?

Best wishes.
Andy
