If you take the battery out and leave it for half an hour, then put it
back in and power on, there should be a prompt to turn voice guidance
back on.

Had the same issue with one we bought second-hand.
It wasn't a straightforward process, and we needed to get sighted assistance to
sort it.
I seem to remember that you start by pressing the middle button to get you into
settings, but that's all I remember.
You could try Googling for a suitable tute, as I bet it would be in there
somewhere.

I've just received an Olympus DM5 but the person who had it before me appears
to have turned the voice guidance off. I've charged it up and if I turn it on,
all I get is single beeps when I press the up, down, left, right and central
buttons on the circular input pad. Can anyone tell me what series of button
presses I need to go through to get the voice turned on, Please?
