Sunil, excuse my ignorance here as I'm only just getting into this. Have I interpreted correctly what you're saying I wonder? Programs like Sound Forge and Goldwave first record everything in Wav format rather than directly into the format of your choice. However, when you come to save the recording, you can then save it in MP3 or Ogg Vorbis or whatever? Is that right?

The popular software audio editors like SoundForge and GoldWave let you save
files in the ogg format. You just pick ogg from the drop down menu when
you're saving instead of mp3 or wav

How do you record in this format? What do people think are good programs to

use? Or do you need to record in MP3 first and then convert to Ogg?
