Hi Eleanor. You'll need to have an IMAP server configured in outlook express. I'm not with BT, so you'll have to ask them whether they offer IMAP access to your mail. I presume by default they'll offer you POP access, that's the rule of thumb with most ISP's although some do offer alternatives.

I want it to store all my sent messages etc on the server rather than locally on the machine, Outlook express can do this so I am somewhat miffed as to why outlook 2003 can't.----- Original Message ----- From: Steve NuttTo: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Thursday, February 19, 2009 10:48 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Office 2003 versus 2007 Hi Adrian,The other difference I like is that you can tell Outlook where to place sent messages. You can't change this in 2003.All the best Steve ------------------------------------------------------------------------------From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Adrian HigginbothamSent: Thursday 19 February 2009 09:30 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: Office 2003 versus 2007There isn't. it works fine but there is no significant reason to do so. There's a learning curve in getting used to the new interface but so far the only major difference I've found, and as it happens it makes quite a difference to me, but possibly not to most people, and certainly not home users, is the access to other peoples outlook calendars (using exchange).Adrian Higginbotham, Manager, Leading edge research Tel: Direct dial 024 7679 7333 - Becta switchboard 02476-416994 Email: Adrian.Higginbotham@xxxxxxxxxxxx Web: http://www.becta.org.uk/ BECTA, Millburn Hill Road, Science Park, Coventry, CV4 7JJFrom: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Ibrahim GucukogluSent: 18 February 2009 15:30 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Office 2003 versus 2007 HI \Everyone.I know some of you are using office 2007, I would like to know what you think of the new version. I am still using office 2003 which I find more than adequate for my needs, but might be interested in upgrading should there be a significant advantage in doing so.All the best, Ibrahim. ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
