Greetings,

As a result of James Odell's message, I went to:

http://www.staffordshire.police.uk/news/2005/09_sep/27_hoax.htm

and found the following:

Hoax HIV needle e-mail (27 September 2005)

Staffordshire Police

Hoax HIV needle e-mail

(27 September 2005)

Police in Stoke-on-Trent are receiving numerous calls about a chain e-mail
which has been circulated relating to a cinema in Stoke-on-Trent.

The e-mail, which police believe may be malicious, has been spread across
the area by genuinely concerned members of the public.

The e-mail states that police have issued a warning after a visitor to a
cinema was injured by a needle. The e-mail then urges people to pass on the
message
to colleagues and agencies.

A Stoke-on-Trent Police spokesman said "We have received no such reports,
and we believe that this e-mail has been written to cause fear and alarm to
members
of the public. I urge members of the public not to send this e-mail on to
others and to simply delete it. We have made contact with the organisations
mentioned in the e-mail and none are aware of any such incident."
