The problems experienced with Plusnet will depend on where you are and whether you are being upgraded to 8mb service. Problems appeared in the London area among others where 44 people were left without service as a result (reported in www.theregister.com). I'm still running 2mb service without disruption and quite happy to wait until things settle down with this 8mb service. Those connected through routers seem to fair a little better because their connection remains live throughout the testing phase, but evidently there are problems interfacing the different providers equipment together and have not been completely resolved.
