In Outlook Express, go to tools, options and then in the sent tab select
"save copy of sent message in sent messages folder".

A friend is using OE and XP. Each time he sends an email, he doesn't get a
copy saved in his sent messages folder, even though the box is ticked under
options to do this. Anybody know why this might be?
