Hi Steve.

Email me off list if you want details of the scanning stand I tested recently,
I was able to obtain a near 100 per cent accurate rendering of a letter's text
using Prizmo, it works but this stand helps enormously and is very inexpensive.

All the best, Ibrahim.

Hi Eleanor,

I could never get good results from Prismo, Text Detective does better.

All the best

Steve

Hello everyone, talking of OCR apps, I wander if someone can recommend an OCR
application to use on the iPhone please. I am after an app to read the odd
letter when away from my computer and no sighted rescue is at hand! Many thanks.

It was called the KNFB Reader and I very much liked it. Because I have an
iPhone these days I use an app on that to scan when I am not next to my
computer. The processing time is greatly improved over the KNFB Reader package
and although often impressive results do vary for me. an
