Yep, knew there were some odds and ends I forgot worth noting. Trying to
pretend I don't have one at the moment so I don't keep running to text
people on it instead of using my crazy iPhone! (smile).

Almost perfect, Jackie. There's the obvious volume buttons on the right
side near the top. I'm sure you would have figured this out, though, Chris.
There's also a lock button on the left side that I didn't understand the
need for at first. The way to use this is to have the phone lock when slid
closed but, when you want to use just the buttons on the front, you slide
the lock key instead of opening the phone.

Got to say, I do love my N86, particularly with the latest version of Talks.

One tip. To get into your photographs, use *File manager* instead of the
menu option *Photos*. Talks won't read the files and folders in *Photos*.

There's also a bit of a problem with the help files in that you can't arrow
through the text, you have to just read it in one go. I haven't checked to
see if the latest version of Talks has sorted this, and I'd be pleased to be
proved wrong.

The radio is a little tricky too in that Talks seems to clash with it. The
way I get around this is to get the focus on the radio menu, quit Talks then
select the radio.

Other than that, it's a very easy to use and powerful phone. I have some of
the keys on the front, including the joystick, set as hot keys for my most
popular apps, so can get into eight apps with just one button press.

If you have K-NFB reader, it works great with this phone too.

Cheers

Barry

Hi Chris

Well just to help you out a bit, find the square joypad at the bottom of the
slide screen. On either side of that square, which are your up, down,
left, right and centre keys, there are two horizontal keys, one on either
side. The left one is your soft key one, or options key when in an app.
The right one is your soft key two or back key when in an app. Below these
keys on either side of the phone are vertical buttons. The left one is your
send button to make a call, and the one on the right is your end call
button. Below these keys are two diagonal keys. The left one is your talks
key if pressed once, and the menu key if pressed twice quickly. The one on
the right side is your delete key.

If you slide the screen up, your keypad is standard. If you slide the
screen down, your MP3 buttons are revealed, so you can play, pause, stop
etc.

Your power button is at the top towards the left end as the handset faces
you. It is sort of rough, and you press it in until you feel the phone
vibrate. Your charger is at the right end of the top of the phone, and this
is done by using a USB cable at one end.

Other than that, you've got your camera button to the right on the side, and
I think that's about it apart from being able to put in a memory card as
well.

I hope this gets you going.

Kind Regards,

Jackie Cairns

Hello all.
Has just received this phone. Had a brief look at it and wow I like it a
lot. Very tactile keypad, looks easy to use once I know the positioning of
the keys.
Haven't installed Talks yet as I need help to replace the sim card and to
check and set a few settings for me.
Take care.
