Well, Catherine, that is what I concluded . . . but don't know I'm right.

Hi,

Well on my phone, I have changed the setting in contacts so the first name is displayed first, and that's how they are displayed. But still in the inbox, their names are displayed the other way around.

So do the settings on their phone have an impact on how their names are displayed on my phone?

Hi,

Even having done that though, I have known folk send to me and their details haven't been the way I've wanted them. Perhaps they've used a different phone and I didn'tnotice. <SMILE>

Hi Andy,

Go into Contacts, then Options, then down to settings. You will hear
something like Display last name first. Hit select on it, and it will
reverse. Then press Key2, the Back key to get out.

All the best

Catherine -

Your in-box should show the name in the way you have it in your contacts
list. You can have your contacts to show last name first, as in Collins
Andy, or Christian name first, depending on your settings, I think the
default for the 6630 and probably most phones, is to sort in surname order,
but like I say, you can change this in the options or phone settings, can't
remember where it is, but my point is, if you've changed it under contacts,
then it should automatically change when you receive a message from that
contact.

Hi all,

Does anyone here use the Nokia 6630? If so, do you know how to change the

order the contact's name is displayed in the in box?

So if I have a message from Jo Blogs and it says "Blogs Jo"; but I want it

to say "Jo Blogs" - how do I change that?

I found how to change it in the list of contacts itself, but so far can't
find a setting to do it in the InBox.
