Hi John.
Well, as it happens, I was just about to come back to the list and report that
I've managed to get the audio back on iPlayer.
I've got absolutely no idea whether or not what I'm about to say is relevant to
sorting the problem, but after running CCleaner and doing a clean out of both
my internet and registry, everything appears to be working once more.
If you've got CCleaner perhaps it wouldn't hurt to let it loose on your system
to see if you can get the same results?
I know that's not very methodical or techy, but its all I did between audio on
the iPlayer going from not being available to once more being present.

Darran,
I've been getting this now for over four months and cannot work out what it
is. I think it might have started after I ran a malware program to get rid of a
browser hijacker I contracted but I'm not entirely sure.
If you find out how to make the sound work again, please let people know,
because I know that there are others also in this position.

Hi List.
Can anyone think of a reason for not getting audio on the iPlayer?
The volume is set to ten, and the mute button hasn't been pressed. I've tried
several different programmes and the timer shows the programme is playing, but
I get no audio at all.
Playback is working fine on sites other than this one, youtube and 4oD for
example.
I used the iPlayer on Wednesday night and everything was fine, but since
yesterday evening I'm getting no joy at all. Any thoughts gratefully received.
