Hi Vanja,
When a new program is installed, its entry in the Programs
list is highlighted by changing the background colour of the
entry in the list. Tricky one to handle unless you go down
the list and check all attributes like colour.

Hello,
ever since I've installed new ILM authrised version
of jaws, every time I press start button jaws says "new
programs installed". I'm aware that this is a common thing
when new programs are installed, but this usually doesn't
last long. I have rebooted since at least 3 times, if not
more and this seems to be going for over 3 days now. DWould
this mean that something's wrong, IE something is not
registeraring properlly or windows thinks that something new
is installed every time I reboot? Also, would anyone be
able to tell me what visually happens or how is this "new
programs installed" message represented visually? Does it
just flash up on a screan when start button is clicked? Is
there somewhere that is clickible that presents what new
programs have been installed? I'm just curious about this
as I like to have visuall picture in my head about windows
and usually I do, but never really considered this one.
