Andy I'm doing the very same myself at the minute and about the best =3D
supplier I've found in terms of afordability and flexability is =3D
www.pcexpert.co.uk they let you configure just about every componnt of =
=3D
the system and also have an excellent help system that talks you through
=3D the function and options for each component. In the main of course
you =3D think you know everything but it helps to clarify things
sometimes, for =3D example there'sa good section on power supplies and
cooling and a guide =3D to how much of each you might want depending on
processor speed etc. =3D The only down side is that when configuring a
machine you don't see the =3D relative prices of all components so you
have to built a dream machine =3D and then adjust individual components =
to
see what effect this has on the =3D price.
You can save a quote and this is then saved for 5 days in which time you
=3D can order at that price. After 5 days you have to re build as they
won't =3D guarantee prices at that time.

Subject: [access-uk] New computer recomendations

Hi all.

Thinking of upgrading my computer during the next two weeks and could do
=3D with some advice.

Firstly, I've purchased both of my old computers from PC World in =3D
Glasgow.=3D20 Both have been Packard Bell machines and both have =
required
frequent =3D restores back to factory settings. Both came with the
dreaded Norton =3D junk and when you restore back to factory settings,
there is Norton =3D again defiant, like an unwanted guest at a party.

My new computer will have to have no Firewall or anti-virus, as I would
=3D like to try the NOD 32 system.

My first question therefore, would I be able to purchase NOD 32 as a CD
=3D so as to install it before going on-line?

I would like to try and make use of the remaining vision I have - I am a
=3D JAWS user, but cannot help trying to see what is on the screen. So
I'd =3D like to purchase a large display, 20 or 22 inch if possible.

Are there any issues for JAWS with respect to compatibility with larger
=3D screens.

Can anyone recommend a supplier?

Can any one recommend a particular system?

Below is some of my wish list:

as quiet as possible as I do a lot of audio work.

As large a RAM as I can afford as I often use multiple programmes.
Very quick.

300 500 GB of memory.

room for expansion as I fancy getting into audio editing and DVD =3D
burning.

at least 6 USb 2's.

Non Wireless Keyboard and Mouse.

Please add to the above list if you feel I've left something important =
=3D
out.

Finally, I'm willing to pay up to =3DA31000.

Any advise very welcome.

Best wishes.
Andy
