Hi, Those machines are definitely worth a second look - The Dell I was = thinking about getting was similar specs but at around =A32,000. I got = this previous machine from Aria, and whilst they did the machine at a = good price, their customer service isn't grate, so I was slightly = nervous about buying from someone I didn't know. I put several thousand = quid through Dell every month through work, and have seen their new = systems. They are not perfect, but they are upgradable and do work = well. However, the same spec over on Dell is around =A32,000.00. The = machine you looked at (which would be the one I went for) came with XP = Home, which would need to be changed in my case. It also has in-built = wireless, which is nice (though you can add it). I may email customer = services and ask how much an extra 2gb would cost and an upgrade to = Windows XP Pro. Andrew. -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf = Of Andy Logue Sent: 21 January 2007 15:43 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: New computer recomendations Hi Andrew. Funny, we seem to be upgrading at the same time, and have done so for a = few=20 years now. Have a look at the Zoostorm 5-7402 Edge PC at PC Next Day at:=20 http://www.pcnextday.co.uk/ It's a bit pricey at =A31300, but what a = spec.=20 I'm considering purchasing it as it has Core 2 Duo E6700, 2GB RAM, 500GB SATA, 512MB 7900GTX, X-Fi Sound and a = 19"=20 LCp. Also, it has a 500 GB hard drive, 3 year on-site warrenty, a = Creative=20 Labs x-fi sound card and a cool pair of Philips speakers. I'm not sure = yet,=20 I've asked for confirmation, but I think it's shipped with XP Home. = It's=20 wee brother, the Zoostorm 2-5402 is shipped with the Windows Media = Center=20 at =A3700 and the spec is very good also. Like yourself, I want to purchase as good as I can get. I am intending=20 however to move over to WindowEyes and go for theWindows Media Center as = I'm=20 sick of being ripped off by JAWS. Also, I feel that although Dell may = have=20 some nice computers going cheep at the moment, what are we going to do = in=20 12, 16 or 24 months time? Best wishes.
