Dave if you have a core duo, dual core2 or Turian machine flick on K1000's 
Kate or Paul.  It's pretty cool and no lag on a  fast enough machine!

Do you have any other voices on your machine that are not locked to Jaws?
Window Eyes will work with most, I used the Viavoice from my K1000 or it
will use any sapi 4 or 5 voice installed as far as I know.
