Hi again Annebel.
I've already downloaded John's first demo. The free one about voice-over. You
are right, he's very good so I'm sure I'll download his other demos, though if
you add them up together, the cost is outragious.
I purchased an audio book about getting started on the iphone and it had even
more chapters at a fraction of the cost. So that's my only issue. Perhaps
each demo is significantly larger than the 45 minute intro. Fingers crossed.
Thanks again for the link.
Very best wishes.
Andy.

Hi Andy, I am new to the Mac also and I am using the audio tutorials on the
Mac for the Blind website. They are excellent. Annabel.

Hi all.
I've been using Windows since before Dos 3.1 and was about to upgrade to
Windows 10 when I realised that I'd also need to upgrade JAWS from 14 to
version 17.
So, very brave of me I suppose, I've jumped ship and tomorrow my brand new
27 inch Mac Retina is being delivered.
I've absolutely no experience of Mac computers whatsoever, though I do have
an Iphone 4s, which I'm not that good with.
Anyway, to my first question and it concerns audio tutorials.
A few years ago, whilst trying to learn about my Iphone, I got a copy of an
audio book, titled, Getting Started with the iPhone- An Introduction for Blind
Users,
By Anna Dresner and Dean Martineau.
This publication was very helpful to me, as it gradually took the student
all the way from unpacking their new phone to downloading new ap's.
Can anyone tell me is there perhaps a similar audio tutorial available to
help me get started with my new Mac and whare I'd purchase it from?
Very best wishes.
Andy.
