[access-uk] Re: New Victor Reader Stream firmware release

I can't stand the patronising and frankly pointless high volume warning message
either, it's the only aspect of the unit I dislike with a passion! I believe
some people get round this by downloading the US version of the firmware which
doesn't have that message.

I don't use the Internet function much personally, it's main use for me is
listening to books. But of all the "specialist" players out there, this is by
far the best in my view.

Kind regards,

Jackie Brown

I've just returned to a Stream 2nd Gen after some time without one and have
the following observations and questions. I hate the patronising and
backside covering warning against listening at too high a volume. I'd be
interested to know how many people use the internet radio functionality and
whether it is intuitive to use?

Hi Carol

For Martin and I, it's one of the best bits of access kit on the market,
there is seldom a day that goes past without them both in use. I don't
care what a Smartphone can do, I can't be without my Stream.

0was Thanks, Jackie. I was about to post it, a few days back, when I saw
0was yours and have been pretty occupied since that time.
0was
0was I am pretty pleased with it, especially the quick record of radio and
0was (though I haven't yet tried) being able to delete/move more than one
0was item from the Victor's memory.
0was
0was I use mine a lot and even the older model sometimes.
