yeah the steep learning curve has been putting me off too from trying out a
different screen reader. i did try the demo of window eyes when i first decided
to get a screen reader and could choose the one i wanted and found at the time
it had delay between a key press and window eyes speaking. also jaws just
seemed a bit more sleek and logical. before jaws i used hal.

What? So manny companies are doing this "cheaper online" now. Who wants to
spend the fare from a distance, then have all the hassles and return in one day
if you don't know if you really want to see anything. We had thought of going
but, as we've seen and heard about a couple of items and have shelved them
((maybe for ever), we're not really needing to go!

I wonder if we all will ending up paying for another screen reader, with some
of the best of both Jaws and WindowEyes soon and they know something ... but
perhaps not. Perhaps they just have a stock of licences they're not shifting,
or they just want some money in the kitty! <Smiles>
