Hi Jackie,

Could you not Bluetooth it to your hifi? ...if not, another excuse for new
tech! I never understood the lack of the app store on the Apple TV units, as I
usually end up #Airplaying my iPad through it.

Kindest,

Mike

Hi Mike

I understand there is an App Store on it so you can run compatible Apple TV
applications. I think, from what has been written, that the interface on the
new model is quite different from the existing one. The disappointment for me
is not having an optical outlet so I can convert this to analogue as I do with
the existing model. This enables me to currently run it through my hifi
system, but I don't see a way of being able to do that with the new release.
Still, I'll check that out the next time I visit the Belfast Apple Store and
get some hands-on.

Kind Regards,

Jackie Brown

With the onboard memory, does this mean it might be able to use apps on it, as
the memory isn't much for recording?

Mike

They probably want to get rid of stocks too, because my guess is that they will
phase it out altogether. That is only my view though, I haven’t read or heard
to that effect.

Because that’s what it currently costs, and of course it does not have any
storage like the later model.

Why is the third gen only £59?

Doesn’t make sense to me.
