Thanks George! Didn't know this since my father's desktop PC is always
connected through Ethernet as it's an old desktop and thus doesn't support
wireless natively.

The first computer usually needs to be connected by Ethernet to access and
set up the wireless router. However, once that is done, and given that that
PC has wireless connectivity, you can disconnect the Ethernet cable and
change it to wireless access.

Hello all,
True or false. When setting up a network, the first computer requires an
Ethernet connection, whereas clients on the network can connect either via
Ethernet or wireless. If this is true, can you please explain why? I did
pass a module on networking at university, but just need clarification.
