Hi Adrian
No USB wireless devices apart from those specifically supported will work
with the Netgem. As you said yourself these devices are all out-of-date but
it is possible to find them on Ebay for a fraction of their original price.
Just as well as they are the older 11mb wireless devices anyway.
I found a different but more costly solution but it did give me a 55mb
wireless connection. Basically I bought one of the supported USB to ethernet
adaptors, namely the Belkin F5D5050u USB 10/100 Ethernet Adapter from
Broadbandstuff UK. I also bought a Belkin F5D7330 Wireless Ethernet Adapter
from the same source. I then set the Netgem up as if it was connected to a
hardwire network through it's USB port, plugged the USB to ethernet device
into the ethernet to wireless device and it all worked perfectly. I wanted
the higher speed because I wanted to stream mp3's and movies from my PC
wirelessly via the Netgem as well as to access the internet through it.
To be honest the simpler and cheaper solution is to find one of the
supported devices on Ebay. The Netgem only has drivers for these built in
and you can't add drivers to it as a user.

For anyone connecting their netgem I-player+ to your home network via a
wireless connection. Are you doing this using one of the wireless adaptors
recommended on the Netgem forums which are now all superceeded and difficult
to get hold of, or have you found that any USB adaptor will do the job?
also, has anyone connected more than one USB device to the netgem? E.g
wireless adaptor and pen drive or webcam.
