Hi Saqib Yes I did, and would have gone for it had it not been for the keyboard. I just preferred the Samsung as I found the keyboard on the Advent very flat and not quite as tactile. What I mean by that is that some keyboards are very flat, and the keys don't feel separated. Otherwise, I think the spec on the Advent and Samsung were identical. I think the Asuss was even smaller, which is fine if you want something really tiny. I would just recommend people go out there and have a feel of these machines before buying. While they are pretty much alike, there are some subtle differences on the keyboard and shape of the machine that might have a differing appeal. I think the Packard-Bell had a dual core processor, but I just didn't like it, and am not a fan of that brand anyway. That one has a simcard slot under the battery and you just insert a Three simcard in and use their broadband. This feature is useful for when out and about. No need to look for a wifi hotspot. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jackie Cairns" <jackie.cairns@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Cc: <bcab@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, December 12, 2008 9:14 AM Subject: [access-uk] Netbook thread revisited > Hi All > > Apologies for cross-posting for those subscribed to both lists, but > this topic has been covered on Access UK and BCAB recently. > > Having been very interested in the thread of Netbooks, I decided to > have a wander round while on a couple of days leave last week, and > have now purchased the Samsung NC10.
