Hi Marg,

Anything with XP is technically "Old Stock". Microsoft formally
stopped XP licenses from 31st December 2009.

However Windows 7 is quite accessible with current versions of most
screen readers including JAWS. However, bear in mind that your friedn
may well nmeed to upgrade his JAWS.

George.

Subject: [access-uk] Netbook Advice Please

Hello

A friend is about to purchase a new Netbook. He is a JAWS user.
Would Windows 7 be accessible, or would it be advisable to buying a
model which has XP on it?

Many thanks.

All the best

Marg
