Hi Barry VERY MANY THANKS! You have hit the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow! Sorted now! I have *select all maps* at the top, then, working down the available maps, I have Isle of Man, UK, and Ireland. To get the UK map, I selected *Download* after the *UK* map, then flicked right until I got to the *ok* button and hit that. I do remember that I had a right job downloading it at one time because I didn't know about that button at the bottom. It transpires that I have the wrong map loaded. I determined this by finding a town which I know well, but a majority of the roads don't seem familiar, and to cross-check, some roads aren't even there! United Kingdom doesn't appear in the country list! Wonder if it's because I'm running iOS7.2.1 rather than the update iOS. What are you running?
