Hi Mike.

Yes, loadstone allows you to do those things, however as it doesn't have access 
to comircial mapping data, the only points of interest are those that the users 
themselves have uploaded.  Added to this the fact that there is no route 
calculation ability, and you quickly realise that Loadstone is only good for 
finding out what's around you and marking out points of interest you yourself 
use.  It can tell you for instance that your at the post office, but not how to 
get there from your house.  This is why Wayfinder Access will be sorely missed 
by its users.

  I have heard about Loadstone, which is free and it allows you to input your 
own locations, and download locations others have mapped. Any more news about 
it, how good is it etc?
