I think it probably is NTL and there may be other causes, but it's not
clearing and I'm getting fedup with them.

Carol,

NTL had a problem with their servers recently where multiple emails were
sent, and I suffered from this at the time. Sometimes I do seem to get
repeat emails arriving wich I have seen before up to a week ago. Don't
know why it happens but so far this syndrome has cured itself. Might
well be NTL though.

Subject: [access-uk] NUMBERS OF DUPLICATE POSTS

Hi All,

I'm increasingly aware of the number of duplicate postings I am
receiving from various mailing lists. I'm using Outlook and the box is
not checked to save messages on my server for a number of days, so they
should not remain once I've collected them.

I do know that some people are having difficulty in sending/receiving
messages with stand alone devices (pocket pc's); but this is certainly
not the whole problem as I myself am getting more than one copy of a
message sent to a mailing list from me. OK, the problem may lie with my
ISP. Is this probable? If so, how do I prove it? What do I look for
on the various message headers? How do I proceed?

If you can help with any of the above then I would be glad of your
assistance in this.
