a firewall would not have built in antivirus software so it is a firewall.

If you have a USB drive or if your PC has a card reader and you have an 
appropriate card, stick the nod setup file on that and you should be fine.

Thanks for that information.  I think that's what I'll do;  Download the
file onto my old computer, then transfer it over to my new computer, prior
to going on-line.  I was not sure if the installation would recognise the
change in computers.

NOD32 is designed to work with all operating systems including media centre
and VISTA, so I suppose it will have no problem working with my media centre
edition and my wife's xp home edition.

As for the Belkin Router, I'm almost sure it has a Firewall but no
anti-virus  We are never prompted to download or install updates.

Another question that I forgot to ask.  I'm also moving away from JAWS to
WindowEyes.  I'll assume that WE  will probably work better than JAWS with
NOD32.
