hi carol. the 2 main reset types for nokia are as follows. Note: if asked for a security code when typing in the following codes, enter 1 2 3 4 5 unless it has been specifically changed by the user.
star hash 7 7 8 0 hash will simply reset all the settings to factory defaults and restart the phone without erasing the contacts, messages etc.
star hash 7 3 7 0 hash will completely reset the phone erasing all contacts, apps, settings etc as if you've just unpacked the phone from new. i hope this helps?

Hi Carol,
Be careful about resetting it, since you probably don't want to
remove Talks.
You might have to go into Contacts, then Options, Mark All, then
Options Delete. That will delete all contacts. Same with messages.
Then go into the phone log and clear all entries.
That should just about clear it, the only other problem then you
have is if you have any files on it like photos.
I could give you the complete erase command, but that would blow
Talks as well and you'd have to reinstall it, or the buyer would.
