Hi Andrew, I have, in the network connections box,  Network connection
wizard, new connections, and LAN, and LAN2.  What is the WAN that I'm
looking for please?

Hi,

You need to firewall the WAN connection not the LAN connection - there
should be two connections in XP, they can be independantly firewalled.
