Thanks Martin. I'll do that when a friend comes so she can watch as well as it's now Mike's phone and I don't want to mess it up for him.

Warning! Before doing this, press the power button and scroll to remove f,
memory card, then press key one on remove f, memory card, then do the below.
Take the back off the phone, then with the battery compartment facing up,
feel along the right edge of the phone about where the camra is, there is
the card, on the inside edge of the camera, at the right hand side, you
won't be able to feel much, but if you press on the right edge with a pair

It's been about 3 years since I had to remove a card from the N86 and, try
as I may, I can't be sure which switch I'm supposed to move.  Can anyone
