Thanks, Andrew.

We already have CABLE and a video and a load of cables at the TV. We do
not have a phone line nearby. (We are just loath to make that corner
any more complicated.)

The computer, just next-door has ready access for download for upgrading
box or card.

So, again, does anyone use that card?

Hi,

I use the Netgem set top box, it sits by the television and is very
small/light. There are no buttons on the box; they are on the remote,
which is quite small but at the same time is one of the easiest remotes
I have used in a long while. The software on the box is upgradable via
the Internet wirelessly or via the phone connection which is optional.

The main issue with the PCI/USB one is that you can't watch it in the
living room unless the machine is there.

Andrew.

Hi All,

I am considering the merits and drawbacks of the Nebula DigiTV card
and/or the set top box recommended by the RNIB.

I know a number of you have the set top box and would just like to ask
for a description of its size and whether or not you need to use a
handset.

With regard to the TV card, this comes as PCI or USB2 and I am wondering
which of these is the fastest and likely to be the best buy, as I could
have either. Is anyone out there using the NEBULA card? I shall be
particularly interested to know how you find the software. I haven't
yet checked this, but it looks as though the software from NEBULA is
upgradeable. Can anyone confirm that, please?

I look forward to responses and, as always, thanks!
